Dave Grohl Of Foo Fighters Invites The ‘Wrath’ Of Taylor Swift By Mocking Her For “Not Playing Live”

Taylor Swift isn’t new to criticism she receives from other artists of the industry. From accusations of blocking smaller artists from charts, to criticism on her performance on shows- Swift has seen it all and is most likely numb to it.

In a new turn of events, Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters appears to have taken a subtle jab at Swift. Known for his outspoken nature and raw authenticity, Grohl’s comments have sparked controversy, suggesting that Swift may not always perform live during her concerts. Here’s what he said.

Dave Grohl Accuses Taylor Swift Of Not Performing Live

The front man of Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl, seemed to have poked Taylor Swift’s live performances during the band’s performance at London Stadium on Saturday night.

“I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift,” Grohl remarked on stage, noting that Swift’s Eras Tour was presently happening in London’s Wembley Stadium. He then added, “So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’ We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few fucking errors as well. Just a couple.”

The singer then seemed to accuse Swift of not performing live as he said, “That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right fucking place.”

The comment has brought Grohl significant criticism on social media as fans rushed to defend their idol.

Does Taylor Swift Actually Perform Live?

A 100% yes and there’s absolutely no doubt about it. If there’s one thing Swift is extremely good at, then that’s putting up a wonderful show for her fans and she makes sure she’s giving her hundred percent into performances.

Her latest tour, the record breaking, globe trotting Eras Tour has wowed millions of fans worldwide, and has been at the receiving end of praise from major celebrities and critics. The three hour show, consisting music from all her albums with plenty of surprises for fans have been creating headlines ever since it started. It has also made her a billionaire and given her the most successful tour of her career.

Apart from that, fans can rest assured that Swift does indeed sing live. Many a times she has changed lyrics and even notes of songs midway, and there have been plenty of viral moments of Swift stopping songs midway or interacting with fans in between songs.

However, she might use pitch correction and slight autotune, as many have pointed out.
