Kehlani Issues Statement About Her Daughter Amid Controversy
Kehlani took to Instagram to post a lengthy message in her story, addressing the drama over her daughter’s custody and the cult allegations against her. Spanning over three pages, Kehlani wrote about an old friend who she’s getting kicked from, along with her side of the story.
Part of her statement read, “My silence is focus. I am focused on my daughter. I’m tired of my silence being framed as anything but. My daughter & the work I have to continue so her life remains as wonderful as it is, is my focus. I have no ill wishes even for those who have ill wishes towards me.”
This comes shortly after her husband Young-White retracted from his initial allegations on Kehlani’s involvement in a cult. “These documents contained general recollections from my initial consultation with my aforementioned rep. They were filed with choice language I didn’t okay. I regret they were included,” he said.
He added, “As of today, these parties no longer align with their allegations … When I was presented with the allegations against … [the] church, my daughter was no longer affiliated. However, I was still deeply distressed about the direct care of my child.”

What Allegations Has Young-White Made Against Ex-Wife Kehlani?
Earlier last week, Young-White issued a statement asking for full custody of their daughter Adeya, adding that he is worried for her safety as Kehlani is a part of a cult.
“Adeya was born through a home birth orchestrated by what I would describe as a cult that she belongs in,” Young-White claimed in the documents. “Due to the fact that Adeya was born in a home and not in a conventional setting like a hospital, my name is not on Adeya’s birth certificate.”
Young-White further asserted that he has been asking Kehlani for his name to be put to his daughter’s birth certificate for the past five years, but he has not received a response. In addition, he said he doubts Adeya even has a social security number along with more allegations on Kehlani’s cult and how they treat their daughter.
