Miley Cyrus is basking in the success of her musical career, as well as thriving in her personal life. The singer, who is now dating Maxx Morando gave fans a little update on where she is in her life, slipping in a few details on her future plans for motherhood.
The pop star went on to speak about her first Grammy win, and how she relates to her godmother Dolly Parton. Here are the plans Cyrus has for motherhood.
Miley Cyrus’ Plans For Motherhood
The ‘Flowers‘ singer might not be ready to embrace motherhood just yet, and something tells us she’s walking in the footsteps of her godmother.
Miley Cyrus, 31, talked to W Magazine about the uncertainty surrounding a possible future where she sees herself as a mother. She stated, “I’m 31 now, and I still don’t know if I want kids or not. I feel like my fans kind of are my kids in some way” before adding, “I’ve heard Dolly say that too, because she didn’t have kids.”
She then continued to talk about how she’s dealing with adulthood, “I just look, which allows me the clarity to see the world for what it really is and people for who they really are. I look at myself almost every day in the mirror and I say, ‘I am a woman.’”
This, however, isn’t the first time the Hannah Montana star has spoken up about not wanting children. In a previous interview in 2019, she talked about the societal pressures on a woman to have kids, and how she is totally against it. She spoke up, “If you don’t want children, people feel sorry for you, like you’re a cold, heartless bitch who’s not capable of love … Why are we trained that love means putting yourself second and those you love first? If you love yourself, then what? You come first.”

Is Miley Cyrus Returning To Acting?
Miley also talked about if she has any plans to return to her roots- acting. The actress/singer, who started with a record-breaking career in Disney is probably one of the most successful and popular alumni from the channel. Her role in and as Hannah Montana on Disney is considered to be one of the iconic television roles, and as she cemented a career in music, it was equally successful.
Cyrus, however, has positive plans to return to acting. She talked about how the ‘right’ role could bring her back to the screen, but it has to be bigger than her. “So, I would like to act again. But the role would really need to be right, since it’s kind of hard for people to see past me and buy into a character,” she explained, before adding, “The character would either need to be an extension of myself, or someone—or something—with a personality that can conquer my own. I would need a character that is bigger than me.”
As of now, she is still lounging in the success of her chart-topping hit ‘Flowers‘ while fans are expecting her to put out new music soon.
