Lily Allen Jokes About Her Children Ruining Her ‘Pop Stardom’
Lily Allen on the Radio Times podcast was asked if she had to change her career strategy after becoming a mother. To this, She claimed, “I never really had a strategy when it comes to my career, but yes, my children ruined my career”. The British star said with a laugh on the “Radio Times Podcast. I mean, I love them and they complete me, but in terms of like pop stardom, totally ruined it.”
Lily further added that people were unreasonable with their expectations of mothers. She further added that “you can have it all” is an unrealistic expectation. She explained, “It really annoys me when people say you can have it all because, quite frankly, you can’t.” However, a lot of people were enraged by Lily’s opinions. One user on X claimed, “They even hate their kids now Lily Allen was never any good.”

Lily Allen On How Her Parents Being Absent In Her Life Affected Her
Lily Allen opened up about how having absent parents altered her lifestyle. She revealed that she did not want her kids to go through that. “Some people choose their career over their children, and that’s their prerogative. But you know, my parents were quite absent when I was a kid, and I feel like that really left some, like, nasty scars that I’m not willing to repeat on my kids,” she added.
Despite joking about her kids ruining her career Lily claimed to be happy with her choice to choose her kids over her career: “I chose stepping back and concentrating on them, and I’m glad that I have done that. I think they’re pretty well-rounded people.” People were quick to troll Lily’s take claiming that that her career flopped because of her not having any talent and not because of her kids.
