Olivia Rodrigo Responds To Speculations That ‘Vampire’ Is About Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo seem to be one of the most influential pop artists in recent times. The duo made frequent interactions and both the fandoms were here for it. But is everything still all too well between the two artists? Maybe not.

Things seem sour between the two as they have stopped interacting with one another and Olivia didn’t even attend the Eras Tour. Now things have taken a turn for the worse as recent rumors started coming up that Olivia’s chart-topper ‘Vampire’ is about Taylor Swift. The lyrics refer to a person as a ‘bloodsucker, fame f*cker’. Is Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Vampire’ About Taylor Swift?

Maybe, and maybe not. Olivia recently spoke to The Guardian about her new album and the topic of ‘Vampire’ being written for Taylor Swift came up. She responded to the question in a cryptic way and started by saying “How do I answer this?”

She then further continued and said, “I mean, I never want to say who any of my songs are about. I’ve never done that before in my career and probably won’t. I think it’s better to not pigeonhole a song to be about this one thing.”  She also added, “I was very surprised when people thought that.”

The article also mentions that “Vampire is primarily about a romantic relationship with an older guy.”

So is ‘Vampire’ about Taylor Swift? highly unlikely but seeing as Olivia neither dismissed it nor confirmed it, there’s a small portion of a probability that it might be an ode to her lifelong idol.
