Peso Pluma, the Mexican singer became one of the biggest artists in the world as a coridos singer. Some of his songs highlight the narco lifestyle, often referring to drugs, weaponry, and Joaquin El Chapo Guzmán. The singer skyrocketed to global fame, this year becoming one of the most listened-to artists on Spotify with more than 50 million listeners a month. Pluma recently played at Coachella and also on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’.
Pluma also became the first regional Mexican musician to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards. Sadly, with all the stardom and credibility lingers a harbinger of death. As it turns out, due to multiple death threats, Peso Pluma has reportedly canceled multiple upcoming shows.
Peso Pluma Is The Target Of Many Death Threats
The pop star received death threats in Tijuana, earlier this week as three narco mantas, threatening banners placed by narco organizations were discovered across the city. According to the regional prosecutor of Baja California, a man on Thursday allegedly responsible for placing the banners was supposedly on behalf of the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación was arrested in Tijuana.
The banner read, “This is for you, Peso Pluma. Don’t show up on Oct. 14 because it will be your last performance, You are disrespectful and loose-tongued, If you show up we are going to beat the fuck out of you”. The threats were signed with the letters CJNG, the Spanish initials for the Jalisco New Generation cartel, which is Sinaloa’s main adversary in Tijuana and across much of the country.

Peso Pluma’s Upcoming Concert Is Reportedly Canceled
The Mexican Singer has rescheduled his Indianapolis concert which was set for this weekend. Live Nation the company responsible for promoting and organising the Peso Pulma’s tour the artist’s concert at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indy has been rescheduled. The new date for the concert has been set for October 31, 2023, according to Live Nation. The company further added, “All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date”.
The rescheduling of the concert is primarily the result of Peso Pluma receiving death threats from the Mexican cartel. Dozens of narcocorrido stars have been killed here, sometimes by rivals of the hit men and drug dealers they’ve glorified in their songs. Many speculate that his performance at the major music festival in Mexico City has triggered the Tijuana threats.
