For those of you who have missed Shawn Mendes on the charts and on stage, there’s good news because the ‘Treat You Better’ singer has revealed that new music is on the way, and fans couldn’t be more excited.
The last time Mendes put out an album was in 2020 and has only put out a few singles after that. Here’s everything we know about the singer’s latest project and everything it entails.

Shawn Mendes Informs About New Music
In March, Shawn Mendes made a rare post on Instagram where he confirmed that new music is on its way as he wrote to fans in a caption for a black and white picture of himself with a guitar.
He wrote, “I’ve missed being on stage and seeing you all in person so much! I’ve also been working on a new album and I can’t wait to play these new songs live for you.”
In another recently acquired video, during a fan interaction as he gets asked about new music, he responded, saying that the new album is done and will be released soon.

After almost four years, this will be his first, hopefully, full-length album as he has been quite low on the musical sphere. It will be interesting to see what new angles he brings to his new music, but knowing Shawn, it will probably be really good.

When Was Shawn Mendes’ Last Album?
His last full album, ‘Wonder‘ came out in December 2020 and ever since then, Shawn has taken kind of a break from music as he also canceled his world tour and focused on his healing journey.
Announcing it for his fans, the singer said, “After speaking more with my team and working with an incredible group of health professionals, it has become more clear that I need to take the time I’ve never taken personally to ground myself and come back stronger,” adding, “We were hopeful that I might be able to pick up with the rest of the dates after some much-needed time off, but at this time I have to put my health as my first priority,”
Shawn will also be performing on September 22 at the Rio de Janeiro musical event, which begins on September 13 and runs for two weekends. Travis Scott, Imagine Dragons, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, and other artists are all scheduled to perform. So hopefully, we’ll be seeing a lot more of Shawn Mendes this year.
