With the release of ‘Slime You Out‘, Drake and SZA’s old relationship rumors resurfaced once again as the duo sang about ex-lovers.
In 2008, Drake said that he and SZA dated to which SZA later confirmed and corrected his statement, saying that they did date, but it was actually 2009. “Anybody who really knows me and was around during this time can confirm.. it’s all love all peace,” she said.

Talking about the relationship, SZA said that it was nothing serious: “It wasn’t hot and heavy or anything. It was like youth vibes. It was so childish. It was like youth vibes. It was so childish.”
In the same interview, she also talked about how she didn’t expect ‘SOS‘ to be such a hit, and the reason is Taylor Swift. She said, “I didn’t think I’d be number one at all, I thought Taylor was going to dust me.”
The ‘Love Galore‘ singer also talked about the Grammys and said, “The Grammy room is one of the weirdest rooms ever. There is so much wanting in there. Wanting to be noticed, wanting to be, like, acknowledged, to win… wanting to feel valuable or validated… It means something, even though, like, this isn’t everything. It’s kind of important that I’m here. It kind of matters.”
