Taylor Swift kicked off the ‘Eras Tour’ in March 2023 after the Ticketmaster debacle. After five years, Swift is back on the road for a tour. During the tour, she is promoting her new chart-busting album ‘Midnights,’ which became the most successful Swift album. The concert, so far, has had everything from pizzazz to Easter eggs to a new album announcement.
But, during one of the shows in Philadelphia, Swifties got to witness the motherly instinct of Taylor Swift. From May 12 to May 14, 2023, Swift was performing at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. While she was performing ‘Bad Blood,’ she observed that a security guard was misbehaving with her fans. Mid-performance, the artist reprimanded the guard and gave the fans free tickets, which enraged some of the Swifties.

“Hey, Stop!”: Taylor Swift Defends Fans After Security Guard Behaves Aggressively
Swifties are lucky to have Taylor Swift! And the artist does not stop to prove it. Recently, during the ‘Eras’ tour, Taylor took a stand for a fan in the audience. During her performance at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, a security guard was behaving aggressively with a group of fans while they were harmlessly enjoying the concert. The ‘1989’ artist, during her ‘Bad Blood’ performance, called out the security guard.
While doing so, she did not miss a note! That’s motherly behavior right there. Taylor Swift yelled, “She’s fine!” and added, “She wasn’t doing anything!” The songstress reprimanded the guard amid her performance, saying, “Hey, stop!” The woman during the concert is Kelly Inglis Kelly, a mother from Baltimore. She attended the concert with her sister, Kirstin Birmingham, on May 13, 2023.
During an interview with DailyMail.com, Kelly narrated what transpired during the night. She said, “I was just dancing, and this security guard was just crazy, yelling at us. He didn’t want us to take photos in front of the stage. He was being very strict.”
Kirstin added, “Every time he passed us, we had to stand back because we were worried he would kick us out.” She continued saying that the guard was flustered when he was yelling at them, and he did not pay heed to what Taylor was saying during the chaos.

Some Swifties Are Upset As The Artist Dolled Out Free Tickets To The Fans
Kelly uploaded a TikTok talking about how the guard ruined the night of some girls who were just having fun. She said, “The guard had been harassing our group all night, anytime we did anything he was on top of us we’re dancing, we’re having fun, and he did not like it.”
She continued, “And Taylor noticed that I was having fun and he didn’t like it, and she didn’t like it, and he basically got escorted out, and then they offered us free tickets for tonight.”
Enraged fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment over the free tickets.
Unpopular opinion: giving free tickets was so unnecessary. Like she got to enjoy the show once already. I mean there was 20k people outside who couldn’t get tickets.

And where are those tickets coming from? Last time I checked it was sold out. But everytime she needs to hand out free tickets there are suddenly plenty . I firmly believe the record labels ARE the scalpers.
