Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, aka Bad Bunny, has been ruling the music charts, creating Grammy history, and now headlining Coachella 2023! The music artist was the first Latin artist to headline Coachella, creating history. However, the performance during the first weekend stirred controversy.
Bad Bunny did not disappoint during his set as the headliner during the first week of Coachella. He gave a power-packed two-hour-long performance to his fans, singing fan favorites like ‘Safaera,’ ‘Tití Me Pregunto,’ and ‘La Difícil.’ During his performance, he played clips and displayed pictures to showcase his journey. During one of the slideshows, he dissed Harry Styles.

Bad Bunny Shades Harry Styles During The ‘El Apagón’ Performance
Coachella 2023, barring some glitches and controversies, has been a successful music festival so far. This year, artists like Bad Bunny, Blackpink, Latto, Kali Uchis, and Diljit Dosanjh performed at the festival. The headliner, Bad Bunny, however, had a shady moment while he was performing his hit number, ‘El Apagón.’
During the slideshow, Bad Bunny displayed a snarky tweet on the screen that read, “goodnight benito could do as it was but harry could never do el apagon.” Currently, Bad Bunny is dating Harry Styles’s ex-girlfriend, Kendall Jenner. It seems like it is harder for the present boyfriend to not be insecure about her past relationships.
He also took a dig at her ex-boyfriend, Devin Booker. In his verse in Eladio Carrión’s ‘Coco Chanel,’ he shaded the Phoenix Suns player. The lyric goes, “I’m not bad baby, that’s a gimmick/ But the Puerto Rico sun is warmer than one in the Phoenix.”

The Artist’s Representative Cleared The Air On The Image
During the second weekend at Coachella, Bad Bunny rectified the mistake that his team made by displaying the tweet. He displayed another message, which read, “Sorry Harry. It was a mistake from my team. We love you. <3.” The visual team told Rolling Stone about the unfortunate glitch, saying that the artist did not approve of the image.
The representative said, “Our intention is to create light-hearted designs that embody Bad Bunny’s personality and amplify the experience he presents as a performer. The request from the artist during the visuals for ‘El Apagón’ performance was to use the image only and not text from the tweet, which we take responsibility for and correct it for Friday’s performance.”
The rep continued, “These visuals are a celebration of Bad Bunny and his dedication to empowering his native island, Puerto Rico.”
