Jamie Spears Describes The Conservatorship Battle ‘One Hell Of A Time’
After 13 years of living in a conservatorship, Britney is finally a freed bird. But, the journey to the end of it was turbulent. Since the struggle ended, Britney Spears has expressed herself through her Instagram posts about positivity. She has also been posting several half-naked pictures.
In November 2021, the Los Angeles Court decided in the favor of Britney Spears ending her nearly 14 years of conservatorship. During that period, her father Jamie stepped in as a conservator to look after her personal as well as professional decisions. After 2019, a professional was appointed as a conservator in light of the patriarch’s deteriorating health.
After a year, Jamie Spears has finally come out to talk about the tumultuous journey of the conservatorship that hampered his relationship with his daughter and grandson. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Mr. Jamie presented his side of the story. He considered the decisions were right that he took on behalf of the ‘Outrageous’ star and he doesn’t want to paint “pretty pictures” of the family struggle.
Mr. Spears said, “Not everybody’s going to agree with me,’ Jamie shrugs. ‘It’s been one hell of a time. But I love my daughter with all my heart and soul. Where would Britney be right now without that conservatorship? And I don’t know if she’d be alive. I don’t”.
He continued, “For protecting her, and also protecting the kids, conservatorship was a great tool. Without it, I don’t think she would have got the kids back”. Jamie currently lives with his young daughter, Jamie Lynn, and misses his grandson. Spears continued, “I miss my two boys really, really bad, I do. You know, we were very, very close”.
Talking about the years he has been away from them, he achingly said, “They were around that age where you could start having a good time with them. But they were developing a mind of their own. God makes things happen for a reason. I don’t know what that reason is but it’s been a tough three years without them. The family’s a mess. All we can do is keep praying”.
