In the world of pop, Zayn Malik is a name that needs no introduction to send the crowd screaming in delight. The former One Direction heartthrob turned solo sensation has been setting hearts with his mesmerizing voice and even more mesmerizing looks since he was 17.
This cultural phenomenon of a star is best known for his elusive nature, second to his musical talent of course. But the usually in the shadows star recently made a rare television appearance that delighted the fans to the core.
Zayn Promotes New Single ‘What I Am’ On Jimmy Fallon
It’s not every day you get to see Zayn Malik pulling pranks on talk shows, well at least not anymore. But the ‘I don’t wanna live forever’ singer decided to give fans a little surprise by strutting onto the stage of ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.’ The 31-year-old popstar came with the agenda of promoting his latest single ‘What I Am’ from his upcoming album.
The little show started with Zayn making an entrance at the end of show host Jimmy’s monologue. Without uttering a single word, the ‘Pillowtalk’ singer sent the audience into a frenzy as he handed a note to Fallon and pressed play on his screen. Jimmy Fallon read the note handed to him by the singer, “Jimmy, look to your right for my album. My new single, ‘What I Am’ is out this Friday off my upcoming album, ‘Room Under the Stairs’, available May 17. Hope you’ll check it out.”

Setting The Mood For ‘Room Under the Stairs’
While Malik’s unexpected appearance on Jimmy Fallon stole the spotlight of the night, it’s his upcoming album that has all the fans buzzing with anticipation. The ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ singer has been teasing his new album for a while now. The game started with him wiping out his Instagram completely and coming back with the announcement of the year.
The former 1D star announced his upcoming album ‘Room Under The Stairs’ with a message. The post’s caption read “The Zrought is over” signaling the beginning of a new era. In the post you can hear the singer talking about the core of his new album. “I think that the intention behind this album fully is for the listener to get more insight on me personally as a human being. My ambitions, my fears and for them to have a connection with that, and that’s why it’s so raw it’s just me writing this, I didn’t want anybody else to be between me, the music and the music and the people listening to it,” he said.
