But the former Spice Girl was shut down by her husband when she lied about her class status during her childhood.
In the first episode of ‘Beckham’, Victoria Beckham chronicles the beginning of her love story with David Beckham. She says, “I think we both come from families that work really hard. Both of our parents work very hard, we’re very working class.”
However, David interjects the interview while peeping through the door, asking her to be honest. She answers, “I am being honest.” The former footballer asks, “What car did your dad drive you to school in?”
Victoria Beckham reverts, saying that the answer is not simple and “it depends”. After David’s insistence, Victoria budges and says, “Ok, in the 80s my dad had a Rolls Royce.”
