‘The Witcher’ Season 3 Halt Explained
‘The Witcher’ Season 3 was supposed to enter their last month of filming in August. They were going to film the Thanedd coup. This was going to involve all the cast members including Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia. They were going to take a break over the weekend and resume filming from July 25. But, it didn’t happen.
Nobody knew the reason behind this halt before rumors started spreading that Henry Cavill might have contracted Covid. Sources have confirmed that the rumors are indeed true. Netflix said that filming “paused due to COVID and we will be up and running as soon as it is safe to do so.” Considering the healthy man Cavill is, fans are hoping that he’ll be up and running in no time. In the meantime, they are praying for his speedy recovery.
What To Expect From The Upcoming Season?
While Henry Cavill and Anya Chalotra were busy shooting at the Longcross Studios in England, Freya Allan was busy filming in the excessive heat of the Sahara Desert. After a monotonous process of shooting for two weeks, finally, the filming wrapped up in Morocco.
The series will feature two white horses – one of which will be a unicorn with whom Ciri will bond. Not only that, her presence in the desert confirmed that she will see a mirage of her dead mother Pavetta, played by Gaia Mondadori as well.
