    Stranger Things‘ is easily one of the biggest shows in recent times. The flagship content of Netflix, its fifth season concluded a few months ago and met with critical acclaim. Since then, fans have been waiting for the fifth and final season of this science fiction horror series.

    Recently, the show’s creators Ross and Matt Duffer, and executive producer Shawn Levy gave the first hints of what’s to come in the fifth season. They were at a Hollywood event in Los Angeles. Let’s find out what exactly the Duffer brothers said about the upcoming season.

    Duffer Brothers Talk About ‘Stranger Things Season 5’

    After the explosive two-part season four ended, fans have been waiting for the fifth season of ‘Stranger Things‘ which will conclude this much-loved sci-fi horror series.

    According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show’s creators Ross and Matt Duffer, and executive producer Shawn Levy talked about the much-awaited fifth season.

    We turned in the first script a couple of weeks ago and we’re onto the second. It’s full steam ahead,” Ross Duffer said. “I remember season one we were just amazed that Netflix was letting us do this at all, but season two was when we really, with the writers, we developed an overall plan and a backstory for all of this and make sure that, with the Upside Down, everything about what it was.”

    He further talked about completing the arc of all the characters. “A lot of these characters have been growing since season one so it’s a balancing act between giving them time to complete their character arcs and also tying up loose ends and doing our final reveals.”

    The Pitch Meeting Made Everyone Cry

    Matt Duffer said that the duo pitched the full final season to Netflix in a two-hour meeting. “We did get our executives to cry, which I felt was a good sign that these executives were crying,” he continued.

    He continued, “The only other times I’ve seen them cry were like budget meetings.” “Those were different tears,” Levy said. “Season five is already so clearly taking care of these stories of the characters because that’s always been the lifeblood of Stranger Things,” he added.

    The final season might drop somewhere around 2024 as it’s currently in the scripting stage. Earlier, the duo stated that it will have lesser characters and episodes than the previous seasons.
