This footage of a subway attack appears to be manufactured. A prank film that went viral showing a little person costumed as “Chucky” assaulting a straphanger.

“Get the f–k off of me — what is doing you?” yells a woman as “Chucky,” the figure from the horror movie series “Child’s Play,” grabs her while other people on the train watch. Chucky is ultimately dragged a few feet across the floor by one man before he leaves.

In an interview with The Washington Post, self-described actor, comedian, and influencer Miguel acknowledged that the event was not a crazy and random assault by a crazed lookalike, but rather a social experiment, and the video was filmed by Brooklyn filmmaker Rodrigo Valencia. It turns out that Sara, the “Chucky” victim who went without a mask, is an actress/comedian who participated in the hoax.

When asked by The Washington Post about his expectations of straphangers, Miguel, who portrayed Chucky in the stunt, revealed that he’d had higher ones. “This is why I was surprised when no one came up to assist her out,” the man stated. “She’s a woman yelling for aid in the middle of a crowd of people, and no one responded.”

Miguel told the Daily Dot that the objective of the hoax was to see whether New Yorkers would step up and help a woman who was being threatened by “Chucky”. “As expected, no one helped. Instead, they decided to record,” Miguel said of the footage.
