X CEO Elon Musk asked the advertisers to “go f**k themselves” amid the growing boycott of his social media platform over an alleged anti-Semitic post by Musk. Companies like Disney and Apple have also pulled off their advertising from the platform after the controversy erupted.
Speaking at the New York Times DealBook Summit, Musk said, “If somebody is going to try to blackmail me with advertising, blackmail me with money, Go f**k yourself. Is that clear, I hope it is…”

Elon Musk Calls Out Disney CEO Bob Iger
“Hey Bob (Iger), if you’re in the audience. That’s how I feel, don’t advertise,” he added, seemingly in response to Disney CEO Bob Iger’s statement stating that his company’s association with X was no longer positive for him.
“Look what this advertising boycott is going to do, it’s going to kill the company, and the whole world will know that those advertisers killed the company,” Musk said.

Addressing the claims of the anti-Semitic post and his response to it, Musk said, “I am quite sorry…I should, in retrospect, not have replied to that particular post.” He called it “one of the most foolish if not the most foolish thing I’ve ever done on the platform“.

What Is The Controversy About?
The controversy erupted after Musk agreed with a post claiming that Jewish people had a “dialectical hatred” towards white people, earlier this month.
Musk’s response was criticized by several social media users and activists. It also drew a reaction from the White House, which stated that his action was an “abhorrent promotion of anti-Semitic and racist hate“.
Big shot companies including Disney, IBM, Apple, Comcast, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal, Paramount, and Warner Bros have pulled out as advertisers on X after the controversy erupted.
