One of Anthony Edwards’ former partners is backing another in an ongoing legal dispute involving child support. This is according to court documents obtained by TMZ on April 25, 2026.
Ayesha Howard, who shares a daughter named Aubri with the Minnesota Timberwolves star, submitted new evidence in her case as she seeks to have child support determined in Los Angeles County. The child was born in 2024.
As part of her filing, Ayesha included a declaration from Alexandria Desroches, another of Edwards’ former partners, with whom he shares a son named Amir.
In the declaration, Alexandria stated that Edwards had provided her with voluntary monthly child support payments. She said the payments were made via wire transfer from a bank account held by Edwards at a Beverly Hills branch.
Ayesha Howard used that claim to argue that Edwards has financial ties to California, countering his position of wanting the case handled in Georgia. The dispute over jurisdiction has gone on for more than a year, with both sides seeking to establish where the case should proceed.
In response, Edwards has asked the court to seal the case and limit further filings from Howard. He alleged she has continued to submit “meritless and harassing motions” and accused her of using the legal process to make public accusations against him.
His attorney stated, “I have never encountered a litigant who has so flagrantly and repeatedly abused the judicial process.” The lawyer added, “It is a campaign of harassment, obstruction and extortion that has made a mockery of the court systems in two states.”

A California judge previously ruled that the court did not have jurisdiction over Edwards. A judge in Georgia later determined that the matter should be handled there and ordered Ayesha Howard to pay Edwards’ legal fees. The jurisdiction dispute remains central to the case.

The Timberwolves’ playoff run has been affected by Edwards’ recent injury as the team leads its first-round series 3 to 1 against the Denver Nuggets.
Edwards is expected to miss multiple weeks after sustaining a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee. Medical tests did not reveal ligament damage, but his availability for the remainder of the postseason remains uncertain.
Minnesota also lost guard Donte DiVincenzo early in Game 4 after he suffered a ruptured right Achilles tendon. He is out indefinitely and is scheduled to undergo surgery in New York.
