The abrupt termination of Beau DeMayo from the acclaimed ‘X-Men ’97’ series continues to unravel into a complex and contentious saga. Moreover, Marvel initially cited “egregious” misconduct as the reason for DeMayo’s dismissal.
The claims have also led to Beau getting kicked out of Marvel Studios, costing him his job. However, subsequent revelations by his lawyers have painted a far more intricate picture.
Beau DeMayo’s Lawyer Denies All The Allegations Against Him
Insider reports and anonymous sources recently revealed that Disney accused Beau DeMayo of inappropriate behavior, including sending unsolicited explicit content to younger male staff members. These claims, if substantiated, are deeply disturbing and raise serious questions, which led to his infamous firing from his own brainchild ‘X-Men ’97’ series.
However, DeMayo’s lawyer and veteran Hollywood attorney Bryan Freedman, has denied these allegations according to Streamr. Freedman has characterized the accusations as “bald-faced lies” and has threatened legal action against those spreading them.
“My client never sent lewd videos and photos to his direct reports. That is a bald-faced lie and defamatory,” Brian stated.
He has also suggested that a power struggle within Disney, stemming from DeMayo’s growing prominence, might have contributed to his dismissal. “A certain person over there [Disney] tried to replace him because he was becoming more successful than other creators. Ask Disney if his separation agreement illegally silenced him. Let me know what they say,” he added.
Though Beau has openly been on the adult platform Only Fans, according to his lawyer, he is allowed to do so despite working for Disney.

Beau DeMayo Allegedly Sent Unsolicited Nudes To Younger Male Staff Members
Insider Jeff Sneider has also reported disturbing allegations against former ‘X-Men ’97’ showrunner Beau DeMayo. His sources claim that DeMayo engaged in inappropriate behavior, including groping an assistant and sending unsolicited nude photos to younger male staff members.
“If you were a guy who looked like they could be under 30 on that show, you have his nudes whether you wanted them or not,” his source stated.
Moreover, the pattern of behavior, as described by multiple sources, paints a troubling picture of a toxic work environment. However, it’s important to note that these are all allegations and nothing has been proved.
