Even when not profitable, Twitter had an impact on its core users, especially media persons, which many other social media platforms cannot boast about. With a mastermind like Elon Musk taking over the company, it must have been expected that there would be drastic improvement happening.
But that has not been the case. The Twitter that the new boss is currently modeling is taking a huge toll on its users. The agitations and criticisms have further led to a massive drop in the platform’s revenue. But Musk is not ready to change his tactics. Elon Musk Getting New Ideas!
Elon Musk is to introduce new changes that would help the platform monetize the videos that are being uploaded on Twitter. It was a verified account named Everday Astronaut that suggested that “If twitter could handle the full-length feature videos that I produce and can offer a similar monetization system as YouTube does, I would consider uploading my full videos here too for sure.” Thus began a chain of conversation that led to a promising tweet by Musk himself to consider monetization of videos.
He came up with the offer that the blue tick users would be able to access videos 42 minutes long. This will be of high resolution. And there goes another bid to attract more users to take up subscription plans.

The thread of tweets went on to discuss how the monetization system on YouTube works. As Quinn Nelson shared on the amount of revenue generated by YouTube, Musk got interested. “YouTube gives creators 55% of ad revenue,” Nelson tweeted and Musk was eager to say that Twitter could beat it.
Musk with his limited workforce has also set a deadline to monetize videos-two weeks.
Some tweets went on to show how some formats need to be changed in order to accommodate videos on YouTube. And Musk tweeted “Noted to Fix“. However, with an ever-energetic Musk, the upcoming week would carry more changes for Twitter.
