The highly awaited festival celebrating cinema, Festival De Cannes 2022, has commenced. It features film screenings, discussion on cinema in different categories along with interviews of movie personalities. This year, the jury panel includes Rebecca Hall, Deepika Padukone, Jasmine Trinca and Noomi Rapace.
This year, Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick was selected in the Out of the Competition category. We witnessed the Tom Cruise mania at the Palais des Festivals with fighter jets flying overhead during the premiere. The President at Cannes Pierre Lescure announced a Palme d’Or – the highest award at the festival – to Tom Cruise. The red carpet was also dazzled with pizzazz.

Deepika Padukone
The reigning queen of the Hindi film industry, Deepika Padukone, graced the carpet in a shimmery outfit. She is also among the jury members. On the Red Carpet, Deepika donned a sequin-encrusted striped saree by Sabyasachi, which the designer cited to be inspired by the patterns seen on the Royal Bengal tiger.
Her headband, a contemporized version of the traditional Indian Matha Patti, the shoulder-dusting, Art Deco-inspired chandelier earrings, and the rings, too, were from the designer’s jewelry collection.
Rebecca Hall
Another juror who stunned at the red carpet during the opening ceremony of the festival was Rebecca Hall. The Iron Man actress was looking breathtaking in a custom Gucci gown. It featured vibrant shades of red and pink, with embellishments complemented with organza ruffled cuffs and drop earrings.
Julianne Moore
The Laws Of Attraction actress Julianne Moore too graced the carpet in a black gown from Bottega Veneta. Moore wore her outfit with a stunning diamond and emerald necklace and skipped other accessories. Elegant, isn’t she?
Eva Longoria
The Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria bedazzled the red carpet in an Alberta Ferretti gown while walking at the Palais Des Festivals. Her gown had a semi-sheer ruffled skirt, sequins, and tiny spaghetti straps, which stole the show. The actress accessorized the look with a black diamond necklace and a killer pair of black shoes.
Lashana Lynch
The 007 and No Time To Die superstar Lashana Lynch was among the stars who walked the Palais Des Festivals at Cannes 2022. She wore a custom Fendi couture high-neck white gown with intricate beadwork on it. Lynch also wore diamond and emerald long earrings paired with a sparkling ring and a bracelet.
