Elon Musk has been making a lot of changes in Twitter ever since he finalized its acquisition deal. Earlier, he fired the company’s CEO and CFO along with other top executives. Now, he has plans to introduce something that’s not sitting well with most people.
The Tesla CEO plans to charge $8 monthly for blue tick verification. In the latest episode of ‘The Daily Show‘, Trevor Noah slammed the billionaire for this. He asked Musk to charge white people for using the n-word. Let’s find out more about what Noah said on this issue.

Trevor Noah Slams Elon Musk Over Verification Charge
Elon Musk has been receiving criticism from left right and center for his plans to charge $8 a month for a verified account on Twitter. People like Stephen King and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have called him out.
In the latest episode of ‘The Daily Show‘, Trevor Noah also called it “ridiculous.” He called Musk “the guy who always looks like a ghost, whether it’s Halloween or not.”
“So, here’s my question: If you’re trying to create equality on Twitter, why charge anyone to be verified? Just give everyone a blue checkmark then,” Noah asked.
He continued, “Why are you charging people? It doesn’t make sense to offer it as ‘equality’ and then put a price on it, do you get what I’m saying? Can you imagine if MLK was out there like, ‘I have a dream. I have a dream… and I’ll tell you all about it for $8.99 a month.’ It wouldn’t be the same thing.”
Noah Asks Him To Charge For N-Words
Musk initially had planned to charge $4.99 to $19.99 per month for Twitter’s blue tick verification. However, after receiving backlash over the price, he cut down the price to $8 per month.
“With eight dollars a month, you can subscribe to Netflix, you can get Paramount+, you can get Hulu, or you can pay so that people verify that they’re actually shitting on you,” Musk said.
