‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness’ was a very important project for the MCU. Although the entire cast deserves glory, one particular character became special for the fans. The first-ever live-action film of Hayley Atwell’s Captain Carter connected the movie to an alternate universe with Marvel’s Illuminati. Recently, Chris Evans shared his opinions about her taking up the shield in the movie.
Although Chris Evans AKA Steve Rogers handed over the shield of Captain America in ‘Avengers: Endgame‘, he didn’t hesitate to praise his dear friend Hayley Atwell. She co-starred with Evans in two Captain America movies. She reprised the role of Peggy Carter in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and ‘Ant-Man’. Peggy and Steve shared the screen for the last time in 2019’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Atwell returned to the MCU to voice Captain Carter, the Super Soldier version of Peggy, in Marvel Studios’ animated ‘What If…?’

“She’s Perfect For It”: Steve Complements Hayley Atwell On Captain Carter
Asked about Hayley Atwell’s versatile acting of Earth-838 in ‘Doctor Strange 2′, Chris Evans told MTV News, “I haven’t seen [‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’] yet, but I heard it. I mean she’s perfect for it. … She’s truly just one of the best actresses I’ve ever worked with and just one of the loveliest humans. So, I couldn’t be happier for her.”
Atwell has had a fascinating journey in Marvel Cinematic Universe so far with all kinds of roles. After starring in ‘Captain America: the First Avenger’ she got a short-lived spin-off series on ABC titled ‘Agent Carter.’ Fans absolutely loved her character in the series. Now, the latest live-action appearance of Atwell gifted her superpowers, Cap’s shield, and a fancy jetpack. The fans are now anticipating another season of her spin-off series as ‘Doctor Strange 2’ ended with the demise of their favorite Captain Carter.
Chris Evans On The Possibility Of Wearing The Shield Again
Chris Evans clearly addressed his probability of coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future. “I don’t want to disappoint anybody but it’s tough to… It was such a good run and I’m so happy with it,” the ‘Lightyear‘ star said. “It’s so precious to me. It would have to be perfect. It just would be scary to rattle something that is, again, so, so dear to me. That role means so much to me. So, to revisit it, it would be a tall order.”
