On Tuesday, the former President that he will start a third White House campaign, launching an early start to the 2024 Presidential election, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” Trump said to hundreds of his supporters, club members, and press at his Mar-a-Lago club.
The chandeliered ballroom had more than 30 American flags and banners that read, “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Just recently, his youngest daughter Tiffany got married at the same venue.

The Announcement Comes Amid Several Issues
Trump’s announcement comes right after underwhelming midterm results for the Republican party. Most of these candidates who lost were elevated by him.
Cracks have started appearing within the party after the defeat as the Republicans are favoring Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as an early favorite White House contender.
It comes amid a series of escalating criminal investigations against him. This includes some cases that could lead to indictments. Dozens of documents with classified markings were seized by the FBI from his Mar-a-Lago state.
Federal inquiries into his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election are also going on along with his hands in the last year’s Capitol building incident. Despite the GOP loss, Trump remains popular in his party and among his supporters.
