Threads is a new social media platform that has witnessed a rise in the number of users. The features of the platform have equally gained recognition for having a resemblance to Twitter, owned by Elon Musk.
While Twitter head Elon Musk is trying to ensure that his platform remains on the top spot, he has now imposed a new order where he has reportedly banned the use of the word Threads. The move comes after the newly launched platform accumulated five million active users.
Elon Musk Restricts The Use Of The Word ‘Threads’
Elon Musk has allegedly informed the public to stop using the word Threads. Millions of users have already registered themselves on the platform and begun using it, and this is one of the primary reasons behind Musk’s move. However, he is yet to share an official statement on the same.
Twitter’s attorney Alex Spiro has already sent a letter to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, claiming that Twitter’s trade secrets were used to make Threads. Twitter is also threatening the new app with legal action.
Musk has shared his reaction on the same, saying that he is on the side of competition but he will never support cheating. Twitter has stated that their former workers had access to the company’s confidential details and the same was used as an advantage to build a similar app, violating the state and federal law.
