As a part of Twitter 2.0, Elon Musk has been working on a solution allowing media publishers and content creators to leave Twitter without losing their following. After exhausting all options, there’s finally been a breakthrough. The content creators will be provided the email addresses of their followers by the platform.
Under his leadership, Elon Musk has vowed to bring more revenue to Twitter. He has been focusing on making the microblogging platform a monetary opportunity for content creators. Previously, he announced a nominal fee to be paid per article read. In this way, the publisher gets paid for their efforts.
Elon Musk Confirms Twitter Is Going To Share Email Addresses With Content Creators
Elon Musk‘s bid to upgrade Twitter into a more yielding platform continues. After brainstorming, the former Twitter CEO announced a feature to benefit content creators looking to exit the venue. It will enable the creators to move their subscriber base with them. This decision comes after other alternatives, including using mailing lists, have caused logistical confusion.
Content creators looking to exit Twitter will be provided the email addresses of their followers, given the subscribers offer legal permission to share this information. Musk tweeted about the update “This platform will provide email addresses of subscribers (who opt in) to content creators, so that creators are able to leave this platform easily & take their subscribers with them if they want”
