When Elon Musk isn’t preparing blueprints for tech domination and a fifth empire takeover, he’s often joshing around on Twitter. The former CEO of Twitter’s sense of humor often confuses than amuses. The Twitter audience has grossly interpreted his latest tweet, which was meant as a swipe at his competitors.

Elon Musk tweeted a screenshot comparing how Twitter’s app holds up against other apps. Meant to prove Twitter’s consistency despite added features, people misread it as an actual apology from the tech billionaire. Once again, his tweet was flooded with all kinds of responses.

In a recent tweet, Elon Musk posted a screenshot comparing apps’ storage space. In an ultimate ‘oops’ moment, the screenshot shows that the Twitter app takes up a whopping amount of storage space. According to the screenshot in the tweet, the app occupies 9.52GB of storage. For the more observant, the screenshot also shows the P***hub, which takes more space than Twitter.

With a spike in user growth over new features, Twitter’s interface has undergone more and more additions. Musk was (sarcastically) apologetic about this inconvenience, tweeting, “Sorry this app takes up so much space.” The other apps in question are Whatsapp and Discord, which take up 1.3 GB and 2 GB of device space, respectively.

Once again, Elon Musk’s tweet has been a hit or miss. While some users seem to miss the point, others are making jokes and playful jabs. Username @jared_mev continued to play along with the former Twitter CEO’s tweet, “SORRY, I SANDWICH TOO MANY SWAPS.”

@SydneyDaddy1 illustrated the barely visible P***hub logo to underline the intention of the tweet. He was disappointed with people missing out on the point the tech billionaire was trying to make, “Nobody in the comments got the point. Just sad…”
