These two men never seem to be tired of causing news on a daily basis. The 45-year-old rapper, Kanye West had been the star of all entertainment and news media for the past few weeks. Did Elon Musk Reactivate Kanye West’s Twitter Account?
The Donda rapper had landed himself in hot water after a string of controversial comments in recent weeks. Fall from billionaire status, brands cutting ties, and people openly pouring hate for him, Kanye West is still holding tight to his views and opinions. Antisemitic and racist comments are what led to his present situation. This act led to the celebrity being banned from Twitter and other Meta platforms including Instagram. West has gotten back his Instagram account and the same applies to his Twitter.
As the account was reactivated at about the same time as Musk took over the platform, questions started brewing. Thus people started doubting if Musk had some involvement in the issue. A comment questioned the billionaire’s ethics, “So why did you restore already Kanye West’s account? Twitter should not be a platform to spew racism and antisemitism.” To this, the Space X founder replied, “Ye’s account was restored by Twitter before the acquisition. They did not consult with or inform me.” Thus Musk has nothing to do with the rapper’s account being activated back.

Is It Dangerous That Musk Owns Twitter?
The Tesla CEO completely took over the microblogging network on October 28 at a cost of $44 billion. The ownership becoming private had led to backlash from many people. There are also celebrities who quit the platform as they heard about the takeover by Musk. “Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Musk had said earlier. Bringing back old banned accounts for free speech was something Musk wanted to do as the Twitter CEO. Thus the people believed that bringing back West’s account was his first step.
