Was Alicent Hightower Deflowered By Daemon Targaryen?
Alicent was born to Otto Hightower, the younger brother of Lord Hightower. She was born in 88 AC. Otto was named Hand of the King by King Jaehaerys I Targaryen. Alicent used to accompany him to court together with her brothers and sisters, stated Wiki Fandom. Since the king’s health was falling, she became a constant companion to him. She read to him, fetched him meals, and helped him wash and dress. Eventually, the king died while Alicent was reading to him.
Her father continued to be a Hand to the King under the rule of Jaehaery’s grandson and successor, King Viserys I Targaryen. Otto and Prince Damon Targaryen were seen at odds with each other always. The Court fool Mushroom suggested that the quarrel between the two men began when Daemon deflowered Alicent. Although, his claims have no substantial evidence to be proven right.

House Of The Dragon: The Feud That Led To Suspicion Of Daemon Deflowering Alicent
The premiered episode of the HBO series ‘House of the Dragon’ explored the condescending relationship between Hand of the King, Otto Hightower and the former heir to the Iron Throne, Daemon Targaryen. The contempt of Otto towards Daemon began in a small council meeting. Daemon made a snarky comment about Otto’s late wife, which sparked the ignition of a contemptuous relationship between Otto and Daemon. These snarky comments and disdains continued even in the Heir’s Tournament.
Sir Gwayne Hightower, the son of Otto Hightower, was elected to contend against Daemon Targaryen. Although, there were an array of knights ready to fight, Daemon specifically elected Sir Gwayne Hightower to contest against him. After winning Otto’s son, Daemon then asked the favour of Otto’s daughter, Alicent Hightower. This yet again provoked Otto and placed Daemon on the red list of Otto Hightower.
The rise of Daemon is thus cut off by Otto with every chance he gets. Otto even goes to an extent of driving Daemon away from Viserys by devising shrewd plots against Daemon. Members of the court also do not have high opinions on Daemon. The court fool Mushroom, the unreliable narrator, has already established that Daemon deflowered Alicent. This might also back up as to why Otto is steadfast against Daemon Targaryen. Stay tuned to find out from the following episodes to know the real truth.
