New Hbo Max series ‘House of The Dragon’ which will feature a plot line hundreds of years before ‘Game of Thrones,’ is now the talk of the town. Recently, it was revealed that the ‘Outlander’ star, Graham McTavish will be joining the series as Ser Harrold Westerling.
A few days ago the first look at Graham McTavish in action came to light which has got the fans excited. The executive producer of the series opened up about what he wanted to portray in the series making the fans even more excited.

Graham McTavish As Ser Harrold Westerling
It was Entertainment Weekly that first brought the ‘Outlander‘ actor’s first look as Ser Harrold Westerling to light through a very exclusive photo. The show features the story of the Targaryen empire in Westeros at its peak. At first, Ser Harold served as a Kingsguard during the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen. He kept on serving the Targaryens even when King Viserys I Targaryen ascended to the throne.
Graham McTavish’s Harrold now plays a very pivotal role in the time of Viserys. He serves as the royal escort and bodyguard to Viserys’ daughter, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. The young princess becomes the successor to her father’s throne but there is a plot twist as Viserys has another son too. So this leads to the central conflict of ‘House of the Dragon: the Dance of the Dragons‘, which marks the most deadliest civil war in the history of Westeros.

Executive Producer Of ‘House Of The Dragon’ Speaks About The Show
The executive producer Ryan Condal talked to Entertainment Weekly about his vision of the series. He said, “I wanted to tell a story about the height of Rome before the fall and see the Targaryen dynasty at its very apex so that we can understand the thing that was lost when it all falls apart”.
Ryan even talked about how House Velaryon, the wealthiest family in Westeros was a black family which is different from the original book by George RR Martin. “It was very important for Miguel [Sapochnik] and I to create a show that was not another bunch of white people on the screen, just to put it very bluntly,” he said.
