Jay Leno Suffers Serious Burns
Popular talk show host Leno has been seriously burnt in a car fire accident. According to a TMZ report, a fire broke out in his Los Angeles car garage and he was burned in a gasoline fire on Sunday.
The 72-year-old former late-night icon was reportedly taken to Grossman Burn Center with “serious burns” to his face. He also issued a statement on the horrific incident to notify his fans.
“I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire,” the statement said. “I am OK. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet.” He had canceled an appearance at a financial conference in Las Vegas on Sunday night due to health reasons.
“His family was not able to provide us very many details, but there was a very serious medical emergency that is preventing Jay from traveling,” said an email from The Financial Brand. “All we know is that he is alive, so our prayers go out to him and his family tonight.”

Leno Owns Several Vintage Cars
Apart from hosting, Leno has a keen interest in cars. Since 2014, he has hosted ‘Jay Leno’s Garage’, which is a show on automobiles now in its seventh season. He also writes a regular column in ‘Popular Mechanics.’
He reportedly owns around 180 vintage and exotic cars and nearly 160 motorcycles. Since leaving ‘The Tonight Show’ after 22 seasons in 2014, he has focused on his passion for motor vehicles.
In 2016, Leno met with a car accident while testing a drag-racing vehicle for his show. His vehicle rolled over a number of times during a test run at California’s Irwindale Speedway. “Well that was certainly exciting,” Leno said at the time. “It doesn’t get more exciting than that.”
