Kanye West manages to be in the news all the time. He is often considered to be one of the most influential hip-hop musicians of all time. But the ‘Donda‘ rapper is also known for his short temper, erratic behavior, and outspoken views that have generated controversies from time to time.
Ye is also in the news for his personal life and has been linked with several women since his divorce from Kim Kardashian. Recent reports suggest that the 45-year-old rapper is currently dating South African model Candice Swanepoel. But some suggest that this might just be for PR.
Kanye West And Candice Swanepoel Are Dating
Kanye West has been dating freely ever since he and Kim Kardashian parted ways. Since then, ‘The College Dropout’ singer has been linked with several women.
According to a Page Six report, Ye is currently dating South African model Candice Swanepoel. But it turns out that it’s not exactly love but a technique to shill sunglasses.
Candice is the face of the Yeezy GAP brand of sunglasses and the two were recently seen at a New York Fashion Week event. But the report suggests it’s mostly a “PR stunt.”
The 33-year-old model was also a part of Kim’s SKIMS campaign recently. This can hardly be a coincidence as both Ye and Kim are just trying to profit from Candice’s popularity.

Kanye West Ended Yeezy’s Contract With Gap
One of the reasons for his PR relationship might be the fact that Ye canceled his contract with Gap recently. First announced in 2020, the collaboration between Yeezy and Gap recently hit a rough patch.
Gap’s CEO recently said: “While we share a vision of bringing high-quality, trend-forward, utilitarian design to all people through unique omni experiences with Yeezy Gap, how we work together to deliver this vision is not aligned. And we are deciding to wind down the partnership.”
Yeezy LLC ended the contract because according to them, Gap violated the agreement by delaying the release of the clothing and the opening of retail locations. Gap will continue to have the right to sell current Yeezy Gap products.
By July 31, 2023, Gap was required by the deal to open “as many as five retail shops” that will only feature Yeezy Gap products. The business did not materialize.
