Like most CGI-driven movies, ‘The Flash’ couldn’t outrun its fate. On top of bringing in an undesirable box office collection, the film is now being criticized for its downright awful CGI. While some have enjoyed the much-awaited live-action ‘The Flash‘ movie, many have been bothered by spotty CGI scenes.
‘The Flash’ director Andy Muschietti has come to the film’s defense quickly. According to him, the CGI has been kept a little off to highlight the disorientation of time for the Scarlet Speedster. But the netizens don’t believe it and have come out on social media to voice their disappointment.

‘The Flash’ Director Andy Muschietti Defends The CGI Quality
Not long ago, DCU hired Andy Muschietti to direct ‘Batman: The Brave And The Bold.’ However, the director finds himself defending the project that got him his other directing gig. Andy Muschietti claims CGI looks and feels a certain way because that was the intention. The team behind the film wanted the audience to see and feel things like Barry Allen/The Flash does.
Andy Muschietti told Collider, “The idea, of course, is… we are in the perspective of the Flash. Everything is distorted in terms of lights and textures. We enter this ‘waterworld’ which is basically being in Barry’s POV. It was part of the design so if it looks a little weird to you that was intended.”
