‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ is all set to be released on the big screen. The film has been in the headlines for the last few years for being stuck in development hell due to different reasons.
The film is also in the spotlight as sources have stated that this will be the last time audiences would get to witness the Guardians on screen. Meanwhile, the beginning of MCU’s Phase Five has not been up to the mark and this film is expected to bring back the lost glory of the franchise.
Rocket Has Been A Secret Protagonist For A Long Time
While ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ is releasing on May 5, 2023, James Gunn shared a video on Twitter which is trending online. The video had the Baby Rocket Raccoon and a baby raccoon playing with each other and Gunn stated that visual effects studio Framestore UK assisted in the creation of the test footage.
The first look of Baby Rocket was disclosed in the trailer of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, which came out in December 2022. The upcoming sequel is going to explore the past of Rocket and Gunn considers that Rocket has been the secret protagonist for the Guardians movies over the years.
Gunn also stated: “I think he exemplifies a lot of the traits of all the Guardians. They’ve had all these traumas, and it brings them together. I just think that his [trauma] is more extreme than others.”

‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’ To Feature Someone’s Death
MCU has followed a similar process they did before during the release of ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ There have been hints regarding the death of one of the characters in the trailers of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ that have been already released.
The future of the Guardians of the Galaxy has not been planned by the producers. But Gunn has expressed his interest in the characters appearing in the upcoming MCU projects. Meanwhile, Dave Bautista revealed that his character will meet its conclusion as shown in the comics and Zoe Saldana said that she would love to see someone else appearing as Gamora.
‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ is scheduled to be released on May 5, 2023. The initial reactions to the film have been positive and it has been rated 78% on Rotten Tomatoes.
