Joe Rogan is not losing sleep because the Golden Globe Awards did not include his name in their first Best Podcast nominations list. Actually, he is amused by the entire situation.
In his podcast, he was as blunt as ever, claiming he did not care for awards. Surprisingly, he cited the $500 entry fee for nominees as the main reason for not registering for the category.
Joe Rogan Brushes Off Golden Globes Podcast Snub

In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the podcast giant disclosed that he refused to enter the contest after hearing that there was a fee of 500 dollars to enter. For Rogan, it was easy: he did not see the point. Years after being on the top of podcast charts, he claimed that awards ceremonies are irrelevant to what he already believes is a settled debate.“I don’t want to be a part of that,” Rogan told guest Bert Kreischer. “I don’t care.”

That is now a part of Rogan’s brand, a mix of rebellion and nonchalance toward industry approval. He says that the Golden Globes approached a limited number of top-charting podcasters and requested them to enter the new category. Rogan chose not to pay the fee and paperwork. His reasoning wasn’t subtle. Rogan cited his years of success in the podcast charts of Spotify, noting that six consecutive years of number one left little to be demonstrated by an awards show.
To him, creating a contest to decide who’s “best” among an audience in tuxedos felt disconnected from how podcast success actually works. On one occasion, he was asked why an outside committee should all of a sudden redefine a hierarchy that he feels is already in place. It was not bitterness, but rather disbelief, as though one had been told the rules of a game he had never accepted to play.
Joe Rogan Believes He Already Won Despite Any Poehler Originally Winning

Good Hang with Amy Poehler ended up winning the Golden Globe over other nominations like Call Her Daddy and The Mel Robbins Podcast. Although Rohan’s fanbase responded angrily, he himself appeared to be mostly untroubled. Kreischer initially dismissed the nominees as “corporate podcasts,” but even he softened, noting Poehler’s show has its strengths.

Rogan, on his part, confessed that he had not heard it, but that it must be good enough if it won. Still, he proposed that the result was logical in the Hollywood awards system. “If you give it to Amy Poehler in that world, there’s not going to be criticism,” Rogan said, implying the choice was more about industry comfort than cultural impact.
