As devastating wildfires tear through Los Angeles, a resurfaced clip from Joe Rogan’s Joe Rogan Experience podcast is stirring renewed interest in his chilling predictions.
Known for his candid, no-holds-barred discussions, Rogan, a former Los Angeles resident, has often spoken about his personal experiences with wildfires and the ominous warnings he received from firefighters.
Joe Rogan Shared His Experience With California’s Wildfires
In an episode aired in July, Joe Rogan reflected on his decision to leave Los Angeles due to repeated wildfire threats. Speaking with comedian Sam Morril, Rogan described being evacuated three times.

“I was evacuated three times from my house from fires. Last one, two houses in front of my house burnt to the ground,” Rogan shared. The UFC commentator detailed the terrifying sight of flames closing in on his neighborhood. This forced him and his family to flee before evacuation orders were even issued.
The wildfire ultimately consumed 40 homes in his area. A conversation with a firefighter during this ordeal left a lasting impression on Rogan. “He said, ‘One day, it’s just going to be the right wind, and fire’s gonna start in the right place, and it’s going to burn through LA all the way to the ocean, and there’s not a f***ing thing we can do about it,’” Rogan recalled.
The podcaster emphasized how easily embers, carried by strong winds, can spread across the city’s dry terrain. “These fires are so big… once it happens, it happens in a way that it’s so spread out that there’s nothing they can do,” Rogan added.
Donald Trump And Joe Rogan Had Debated California’s Fire Management And Water Policies
As LA grapples with the deadly Palisades fires, another clip from the Joe Rogan Experience podcast featuring Donald Trump has gone viral. In the recording, Trump delivers a scathing critique of California’s water management practices and wildfire preparedness.

Trump’s comments, made before the 2020 presidential election, are gaining new relevance as the state faces the devastating Palisades fire. Trump and Rogan discuss a firefighter’s dire prediction of a fire sweeping through LA.
He criticized then-Governor Gavin Newsom and state policies that prioritize protecting the endangered Delta Smelt over effective water resource management. “In order to protect a tiny little fish, the water up north gets routed into the Pacific Ocean. Millions and millions of gallons of water get poured [into the Pacific],” Trump said.
“You have so much water. They don’t know it. But the problem is, they don’t use it properly.” He added, “Every time I go to California, I say you have so much water. People in Beverly Hills, they turn off the water. Same thing with the electric.” Though often mocked for his outspokenness, Trump’s concerns about mismanaged resources and lack of preparedness resonate with many amid the current crisis.
