Johnny Depp strolled into the pub and shocked the bar manager who worked there and gave her some parenting advice after realizing she was pregnant.
Lauren Whittington couldn’t believe it when Johnny Depp walked into the Bridge Tavern bar in Newcastle when she was working there. He arrived in the middle of her shift. The actor was seen hanging out with local musicians Sam Fender and Jeff Beck.
One hour before the news emerged that he had won his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp made a surprise appearance at the boozer.
A Pregnant Bartender Gets Parenting Advice From Johnny Depp
“He and Jeff Beck sat eating Fish and Chips together in the corner for up to an hour before anyone realized it was Whittington and Beck,” Whittington recalled. “None of us could believe it.”
“When Sam Fender’s security came over and asked if there was any way we could get him into the club without people ambushing him, we shut off our upstairs terrace for them to go up there. They were really grateful and stayed for a couple of hours, with Sam staying long after Johnny and Jeff had left.”
On top of that, Whittington was even offered some parenting advice by Johnny Depp.
“It’ll be the best gift you’ll ever receive, he said, and you won’t know love until you gaze into her eyes for the first time. He realized I was pregnant and asked me how long I had left. Then he gave me advice on diapers, lack of sleep, and the first few weeks of fatherhood.”
Also, he was reminiscing about his kids, who are now adults, and how amazing being a parent can be.
After the verdict, Whittington recalled, “He departed about an hour before the verdict and said he’d had a zoom call about it, so we wished him luck and said thank you and thanked him for being so gracious, and he thanked us for having him.”
