It’s hard to imagine a cinematic landscape without Gurinder Chadha’s ‘Bend It Like Beckham.’ But back then, people weren’t sure about the movie. The British actress spilled the beans when asked about the film’s perceived success. “No. No, no. I mean, I literally remember telling people that I was doing it, and saying, you know, it’s called ‘Bend It Like Beckham’ and then going, “Oh, that’s really embarrassing,” said the actress.

Her later career has been a result of trying to break the mold that was set for her.

Keira Knightley spoke to ET on the ‘Boston Strangler’ premiere about possibly returning to the ‘Pirates Of The Carribean’ franchise. “What about Elizabeth Swan? I mean, she sailed away so nicely. She sailed away in brilliant style,” said the actress, confirming she won’t return to the Johny Depp-led franchise.

In ‘Boston Strangler,’ she plays Loretta McLaughlin. With Jean Cole (Carrie Coon), she breaks and extensively follows the story of a serial killer in the 1960s.
