Kendall Jenner has been a subject of constant online speculation regarding her sexuality over the years. Rumors that the supermodel is a closeted lesbian have trailed her on social media, tabloids, and comment boards.
Now, at 30, Jenner is speaking out against those rumors, and what annoys her the most is not the question itself, but how people are asking it.
Kendall Jenner Speaks Out On Speculation Surrounding Her Sexuality

On the Jan. 9 episode of In My Dreams with Owen Thiele, Jenner did not evade the subject when it was raised. Rather, she took the opportunity to be honest about the emotional burden of years of being talked about, dissected, and branded by strangers. What struck her hardest, she explained, is the cruelty embedded in the rumors. “You want to know what really bothers me? How mean people are about it,” Jenner said.
She believes that the speculation is usually tinged with judgment and hostility. “It’s not with, like, a welcoming arm of like, ‘Hey, if you were, yes, come join.’ It’s not kind, It’s very mean.” That distinction matters. Jenner clarified that it is not the queerness that is the problem, but rather how people weaponize assumptions and make the identity of a person a punchline or a provocation. There was the fatigue of a person who has been explaining herself too long in her words.
Kendall Jenner Claims She Would Have “No Problem Being Out”

Jenner was unequivocal when it came to addressing the rumors head-on. Although she has been associated with several men like Harry Styles, Blake Griffin, Ben Simmons, and Bad Bunny, the speculation did not appear to die down. She closed it down in a calm and clear way on the podcast. “If I were queer, I would have come out already,” she said. Acknowledging that coming out can be deeply difficult for many people, Jenner emphasized that she was speaking only for herself.

“Knowing myself, I think at this point in my life I’d be out if I were.” Her words were not meant to judge others. Actually, she took extra care not to sound judgmental, as she observed that all people have a different experience with identity. However, for someone like Jenner, who has spent her entire life in front of the cameras and most of her adult life under the public eye, concealing something so basic does not fit her personality.
“Knowing how I would want to live my life, I would be. I’d have no problem being that,” she said. Still, Jenner did not construct her sexuality as something fixed and unchangeable. She created room to grow and discover herself in a refreshingly candid moment. “As of today, I am not,” she explained. “I don’t think I will be, but I’m not closing doors to experiences in life.” It was a reminder that identity can be personal, evolving, and not owed to anyone else for explanation.
