Which Was Kendall’s First Runaway Show?
Kendall Jenner’s first cover was for the magazine, ‘American Cheerleader,’ when she was only 15 years old. This was the first time she had participated in a major photoshoot. Two years later, Kendall walked her first runaway on the Evening Sherri Hill Spring 2013 show on September 7, 2012. She was a 17-year-old at that time. Talking about her first runaway, Kendall said, “The very first runway I walked was with Kylie for my mom and Kourt’s Smooch boutique. After that, Kylie and I both did a Sherri Hill show. I will never forget that day (I wore a red dress) because I knew then that modeling was what I wanted to do with my life and I met Hailey [Baldwin].”
In 2014, Kendall got her first major runway gig on the Marc Jacobs show. At the time, she said, “I just recently turned 18, so this [Marc Jacobs show] is my big kickoff to start and grow my career.” In the same year, she went on to become the cover girl for Teen Vogue along with her younger sister, Kylie Jenner. During this period, Kendall was honing her confidence, shedding off shyness, and getting ready for the modeling business.
What Brands Has Kendall Jenner Worked With?
After her Marc Jacobs Show, Kendall was chased by big, luxurious brands. She has walked for Givenchy, Chanel, Fendi, Diane von Furstenberg, Alexander Wang, Tommy Hilfiger, and Dolce & Gabbana. At the age of 18, she also walked for Modern Muse Le Rouge, a campaign under Estée Lauder. She wore a fiery red suit for the campaign, already marking the impact she was going to soon have in professional modeling. The global brand president of Estée Lauder couldn’t stop complimenting the model and called her “extraordinary.”
Within a few weeks of working with the multinational cosmetics company, Jenner received a call from Calvin Klein to become the face of the fashion company under their #mycalvins Denim series advertisements. Through this campaign, Jenner got the same exposure as high-profile supermodels, Brooke Shields and Kate Moss.
