Leonardo DiCaprio Questioned By The FBI
Leonardo DiCaprio was grilled by the Federal Bureau of Investigation over his relationship with a fugitive fraudster businessman. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Malaysian businessman is wanted by international officials for his links with a multibillion-dollar fraud scheme.
Jho Low, the man behind an elaborate sovereign wealth fund called the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal, was charged by the Department of Justice in 2021 for a “back channel lobbying campaign” to drop an investigation.
In 2016, an Interpol Red Notice was issued against Low who has been absconding for nearly eight years. Reports state that he might be living in China. The former Malaysian Prime Minister has also been jailed over this case.

DiCaprio Was Questioned In 2018 Over Jho Low
The report states that the ‘Inception‘ actor was questioned by three DoJ prosecutors, an IRS investigator, and an FBI special agent. These interviews took place sometime in April 2018.
In 2010, DiCaprio met Low at a nightclub and they did several projects together including ‘The Wolf of Wall Street‘ for which Low provided financial support. They had also planned to start a $1 billion fund for films, a Warner Bros. theme park in Asia, and a resort in Belize.
Over time, the two bonded very well and the Oscar winner started introducing him to everyone as “my man” and Low called DiCaprio “Ldogg.”
“I was working for him and that business also translates into being social. And so we saw each other more, and there was more interaction,” DiCaprio told a grand jury. He later handed over all the gifts Low gave him to the Feds like ‘The Great Gatsby’s first edition and the Oscar statuette Marlon Brando was awarded for ‘On the Waterfront’.
