Based on Barbie and Ken’s bright Neon outfits and rollerblades, it appears that this video was shot along Venice Beach, where production has been ongoing for several weeks. Another recent set video captured here revealed the first sound of Robbie’s Barbie voice, which is as bubbly and boisterous as one would expect.
This set video is the first time fans have heard Gosling’s voice as Ken, and while it is a high-pitched shriek rather than dialogue, it does allow the Oscar nominee to showcase his vocal range and react to conflict in a way that is completely appropriate for his character.
Cast Of The Film And Shooting Locations
The film features a large ensemble cast of well-known actors, including America Ferrera from Superstore, Simu Liu from Shang-Chi, Kate McKinnon from SNL, and Alexandra Shipp from X-Men. It also features Emma Mackey from Sex Education, Kingsley Ben-Adir from One Night in Miami, Issa Rae from Insecure, and Will Ferrell as the CEO of a toy company.
The Barbie film began filming earlier this year at Warner Bros. Studios in England before moving to various locations in Los Angeles. In the following weeks, a slew of set photos surfaced online and went viral.
It will be interesting to see what other unexpected developments emerge from the set as production continues.
