Matthew McConaughey To Voice Elvis Presley In Netflix Series ‘Agent Elvis’

Matthew McConaughey is making his Netflix debut. The Oscar-winning actor is the latest actor to bring Elvis Presley to life on screen. McConaughey will voice the King of Rock and Roll in the animated series, ‘Agent Elvis‘.

The 54-year-old actor is in the midst of projects separate from his films. He’s also in talks to lead a ‘Yellowstone‘ spin-off, being courted to take over after Kevin Costner’s departure. Last seen on HBO’s ‘True Detective,’ everyone looks forward to McConaughey’s return to the small screen and OTT debut.

Matthew McConaughey Is The Voice of Elvis Presley In ‘Agent Elvis’

Agent Elvis‘ is voiced by Matthew McConaughey

Fans are looking forward to McConaughey bringing his vocal talents for the gig of his lifetime. Netflix animated series ‘Agent Elvis will bring to screen the wild and our persona of Elvis Presley. McConaughey voices the version of Elvis, a rockstar by day and a butt-kicking covert operator by night. It reimagines the late music legend as a secret agent sworn to protect his country.

Agent Elvis‘ comes from the mind of Mike Arnold. He’s the showrunner and head writer of the animated series. John Eddie and Priscilla Presley serve as co-creators and executive producers on the show. 

Agent Elvis’ debuts on March 2023, only on Netflix.

Before the animated Netflix series, a horde of actors stepped into the dancing shoes of Elvis. Kurt Russell was the first actor to bring to screen a spectacular version of Memphis’ messiah in John Carpenter’s made-for-television Elvis Presley biopic.

Other actors to have played Elvis in some form are Don Johnson, Val Kilmer, Harvey Keitel, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Michael Shannon. The contemporary audience knows Austin Butler’s rendition of Elvis Presley, which is the most captivating portrayal of the King of Rock and Roll ever.
