Nothing about Elon Musk‘s Twitter acquisition has been easy. Since taking over the social media site, Musk has, for better or worse, made technical and subscription changes to the platform, such as Twitter Blue and a more maturely curated ‘For You’ section. There are arguments on both sides about these features hurting or helping the platform.
Elon Musk is making another change to the microblogging service. His Twitter is now rolling out pay per article plan for media and other content publishers. Under this new ruling, the publishers will be able to make money from the single view of their articles by the users. These services roll out next month, with Musk creating monetary options for the content creators.

Elon Musk’s Pay-Per-View Monetary Plan For Twitter
The Twitter CEO is on the path to making Twitter a more commercial venture. His new plan for the pay-per-view article seems to be a significant step in that direction. Starting next month, the microblogging service will permit media publishers to profit from their work. The users will be charged on a per-article basis with one click. The non-subscribers base has to pay for a particular article they want to read on Twitter.
Elon Musk elaborated on his plans with the following tweet, “Rolling out next month, this platform will allow media publishers to charge users on a per article basis with one click. This enables users who would not sign up for a monthly subscription to pay a higher per article price for when they want to read an occasional article. Should be a major win-win for both media orgs & the public.”

How Much Will Twitter And Media Publishers Earn From These Subscriptions?
At the beginning of April, Musk made it clear that they won’t be keeping any money for the next 12 months, making sure all content creators get to keep their earnings. Musk reiterated his statement, saying the only fees they would take away are the ones charged by the platform. He outlined the division in his tweet, “You will receive whatever money we receive, so that’s 70% for subscriptions on iOS & Android (they charge 30%) and ~92% on web (could be better, depending on payment processor),”

After first year, iOS & Android fees…
The Twitter CEO elaborated, “After first year, iOS & Android fees drop to 15% and we will add a small amount on top of that, depending on volume. We will also help promote your work. Our goal is to maximize creator prosperity. At any point, you can leave our platform and take your work with you. Easy in, easy out.” All you have to do to make money from your content is to tap on the “Monetization” feature in settings.
