Who on earth will succeed James Bond as the next spy is one of the biggest questions in the film industry today. There are many actors in the race to play Bond but some are ahead of others in this race.
Now that he has, following his fifth performance as the martini-sipping secret agent in ‘No Time to Die,’ the rumor mill has gone into overdrive once again, and the frontrunners are slowly surfacing.

Idris Elba Destroys Tom Hardy And Henry Cavill In The 007 Uproar
Idris Elba, star of Luther, was enthusiastically endorsed by the audience as a replacement for Daniel Craig following ‘Spectre’. But in recent years, as younger contenders have risen in the odds, his standing as the clear favorite has faded.
It is imperative that the next Bond has the stamina to handle the ferocity of the action sequences. Bond actors often play the part for 10 or more years, so 49-year-old Idris Elba may be reaching 60 at the conclusion of his contract.
Rege-Jean Page, a newcomer to the Bridgerton team, has made a significant impact in the last year. In Shonda Rhimes’ steamy historical drama, everybody who saw it can vouch for her enchanting appeal. All bets are now off with the latest horrific news from UK bookmakers.
“We’ve seen a huge move in the Bond betting this afternoon, and a flurry of bets has led to us slashing odds on Idris Elba, who now heads the betting once again for the first time in over a year,” says Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati in an exclusive interview.
As of right now, Idris Elba is the overwhelming favorite, with odds of 7/2. Rege-Jean Page and Henry Cavill, both 4/1, are just behind him, so it’s far from a one-horse race just yet. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Tom Hardy, two more regular favorites, are at 6/1 and 7/1 respectively.
Daniel Kaluuya Doesn’t Want To Be James Bond, But He’d Play A Villain
Among the names mentioned by both fans and film critics is Daniel Kaluuya. He’s been suggested as a possible 007 since at least 2018 after his breakout performance in Jordan Peele’s social horror smash ‘Get Out,’ in which he played Fred Hampton.
Nevertheless, in a recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment, the 33-year-old British actor says he has no desire to play the seventh James Bond.
While promoting his latest collaboration with Peele, the UFO thriller Nope, Kaluuya said, “I’d do a villain.” He was joined by co-star Keke Palmer.
While he was startled to find he had been fan-cast in the role for a long time, the actor brushes off the idea of replacing Craig in the role. He begins by saying, “Mmm.”
“I just don’t if I’d want to watch my version of James Bond. That’s just me. That’s just me, I go, ‘I don’t wanna watch that.’ But I’d want to watch a villain. I’d do that. I think that would be fun,” Says Kaluuya.
