    “Oh, Mine Didn’t Work? I’ll Bash Them”: Chris Hemsworth Calls Out Actors Who Badmouth MCU After Their Films Fail

    In the vast universe of MCU, many big stars have appeared in the franchise and many more are yet to come. Chris Hemsworth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Christian Bale. Idris Elba, Josh Brolin, etc had starred in either key roles or side roles in different projects of Marvel Studios.

    However, many of these star have taken shots at the MCU after abandoning the franchise. Now, in a recent interview, Chris Hemsworth took on him to reply to these negative comments and point out their humility.

    Chris Hemsworth Says It’s Annoying To See Actors Bash Marvel After Starring In Franchise

    Recently Chris Hemsworth sat for an interview with The UK Times and discussed his displeasure with the many stars joining the franchise at its high point and then taking shots after the movie received bad reviews.

    Hemsworth said, “It’s, like, ‘They’re films that are successful, put me in one! Oh, mine didn’t work? I’ll bash them’.” He further said, “Look, I grew up on a soap opera. And it used to bother me when actors would later talk about the show with guilt or shame. Humility goes a long way. One of the older actors on [popular Australian soap opera] Home and Away said, ‘We don’t get paid to make the good, but to make the bad ones work.’ That stuck with me.”

    He didn’t name-drop anyone however The UK Times mentioned Idris Elba and Christian Bale. Stars like Scarlett Johanson, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. have also taken a dig at Marvel. Downey took the subtle jab at the stage of Oscars. After accepting his first Oscar, he claimed what they did in ‘Oppenheimer’ was “important”. He also claimed he got more exposure after coming out of the cocoon of Marvel.

    In addition to replying to such actors, Hemsworth also criticized top directors who have trashed comic book movies.

    Thor star made it into the Mad Max franchise with the Anya Taylor-Joy starrer prequel ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’. Hemsworth is playing the role of a warlord leader, Dementus. Hemsworth in an interview with Entertainment Tonight revealed that his transformation to Dementus was very time-consuming and painful.

    He said, “We both had a good three-four hours in make-up depending on what the look was for what time period within the film. I had sort of, you know, pick-up at 3:00 A.M. and I was on set by maybe 7. So it was a long, it’s a long time but you’d stare back in the mirror and not recognize the person.”

    Hemsworth also posted the time-lapse video of his transformation video on X. Fans clearly saw it was a piece of cake. ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga‘ is set to release on 24 May 2024.
