‘Tomb Raider‘ Series By Phoebe Waller-Bridge
Whether it was Waller-Bridge’s defiant take on modern love or the sneakily addressing the audience, we loved it all. And now, she’s headed to another exciting female-centric narrative after her ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ adaptation with friend and collaborator Donald Grover fell through.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ‘Fleabag’ creator and star will write the ‘Tomb Raider‘ show. It is expected to expand the Lara Croft universe from the movie adaptations. Waller-Bridge doesn’t intend to star as the gun-toting archaeologist. In addition to writing, she will executive produce the show with Ryan Andolina, Amanda Greenblatt, and Dmitri M. Johnson.

Will Fleabag Return For A Third Season?
No matter how unfair it seems, ‘Fleabag’ went out on a perfect note. While Waller-Bridge has hinted at the return of ‘Fleabag,’ there can never be a third season. Waller-Bridge could bring her back with more one-woman shows and Broadway performances, but another season would be doing it for the wrong reasons.
But there’s more to come from Waller-Bridge’s acerbic wit. After winning several Emmys for ‘Fleabag,’ Waller-Bridge signed an overall deal with Amazon. Apart from the ‘Tomb Raider’ series, she will adapt Claudia Lux’s book ‘Sign Her’. Phoebe Waller-Bridge will also be seen in James Mangold’s ‘Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny’ and John Krasinski’s ‘IF’.
