“Good Omens” has become an absolute fan favorite and has very high critics and audience approval. The series first aired on Amazon Prime on 31st May 2019. This fantasy comedy series has a total of six episodes and is based on Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s novel of the same name.
It tells the story of an unlikely union between angel Aziraphale and the carefree demon Crowley who are just too used to life on earth. This alliance is an attempt at Armageddon. Amazon promised a second season for the series but has given no information so far.
Constant Probing By The Fans Pisses Neil Gaiman Off
Amazon announced season 2 of “Good Omens” almost a year back. Neil Gaiman has already confirmed that they have completed the production of the second season. But there is still no news about the release date so far. Apparently, some fans can not take the anticipation anymore.
The fans have been asking Gaiman over social media about the release date of the second season. One fan in particular made a very serious and fact backed request to Neil Gaiman.
“In the time since good omens season 1 came out we have now had 2 doctors multiple marvel films and many actor controversies and not to mention a pandemic. Please give us an air date,” the person stated.

This has riled up Gaiman and his reply to the fan was not so polite. He replied to the fan’s tweet saying “No. And if you ask again like that we may not release it at all.”
Was Gaiman Really Serious About It?
Gaiman’s reply on Twitter seems to have broken the hearts of many fans. And now the question lies, whether season 2 really got canceled or not. The “Good Omens” author has followed up by reassuring the hopes of many fans. He confirms that his tweet was just a joke. The reason for the delay is that there is still a lot to do before they can actually air season 2.
Gaiman tweeted, “I thought it was funny, and hoped my reply was funny. WE WILL RELEASE GOOD OMENS 2, WHEN IT IS DONE,” he wrote. “We only stopped shooting in March. There is much to be done.”

It looks like fan favourite John Ham will be returning to the set for season 2. Other cast members includes Doon Mackichan and Gloria Obienyo. Lizcarr, Quelin Sepulveda, and Shelly Connhas are the new additions to the “Good Omes” 2.
