Tom Cruise has once spent blood, sweat, and tears to save the cinemas with a gripping spy story. However, the veteran screenwriter Paul Shrader doesn’t share the world’s view about the film. The ‘Taxi Driver’ and ‘Raging Bull’ screenwriter has been brutally critical of ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.’
Paul Shrader ironically points out that while the film acknowledges the dangers of AI, it may very well have been written by its worst enemy. Yes, the veteran storyteller didn’t hold back about his problems with the writing quality of ‘Dead Reckoning Part One.’ With one more film to go, will Tom Cruise be able to bring Paul Schrader around the franchise?

‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ Starring Tom Cruise Underperforms At Box Office
‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One‘ has grossed only over $490 million worldwide. Paramount Pictures is unhappy, with its CEO Brian Robbins blaming the 61-year-old actor for the box office fiasco. He blames writer-director Christopher McQuarrie and Tom Cruise for going over budget. The submarine sequence, for instance, added the cost which Paramount Studios alone bore.
Paramount Pictures is also upset with the film’s performance compared to ‘Barbie’ and ‘Oppenheimer.’ Greta Gerwig’s film has made over a billion dollars worldwide, making her the first female filmmaker to do so. ‘Oppenheimer’ has made over $560 million at the global box office.
