At the beginning of the weekend, Anne Lamott expressed looking forward to a new year where she would be able to read less about Taylor Swift. However, the author was right to express this concern, as 2023 witnessed a permanent place of the ‘Lover‘ singer in the headlines.
Sadly, the author learned a hard lesson from making derogatory remarks about Swift. She later deleted the post and issued a public apology after receiving backlash from the angry Swifties overnight.

Anne Received A Lot Of Hate From Swifties
The Swifites could not handle the harsh comments, and the power of the hate made Anne Lamott take down the comment. Lamott said, “Very sorry for snarky Taylor Swift comment. I probably got a more angry response to this than for anything I’ve tweeted in the ten years I’ve been here. Note to self: try to do better.”
While the fans accepted this apology, others were quick to point out the author’s unfortunate replies. One of the Swifties replied to the author’s original post saying, “Hate on another successful woman that cares about other humans??? Shame on you!!
